FOI Requests (Cardiff and Vale UHB - Information Governance), Cardiff and Vale University Health Board

Dear Craig,

I am writing in response to your email below requesting information from
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) under the terms of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

The FOIA gives individuals the right to request and receive any recorded
information held by a public authority, such as the UHB, subject to any
applicable statutory exemptions. A request can be made for any information
it is thought a public authority may hold. The right only extends to
recorded information which includes information held on computers, in
emails and in printed or handwritten documents, as well as images, videos,
and audio recordings.

A request can take the form of a question, rather than a request for
specific documents, but an authority does not have to answer your question
if this would mean creating new information or giving an opinion or
judgement that is not already recorded.

As you are making a request under the FOIA, the UHB will consider your
request in accordance with the legislation and in line with the
appropriate guidance issued by the Information Commissioner as detailed
below.

The UHB will:

• identify which questions amount to requests for information held on
record;
• be ready to offer advice and assistance that is reasonable in the
circumstances; and
• provide a response in line with the requirements of the legislation.

I would now like to confirm that your request has been forwarded to the
relevant department to action. A further response will be issued in due
course.

As your request is being dealt with under the FOIA, there is a deadline of
20 working days for a response to be issued.

Yours sincerely,

Guillaume

Dear FOI Requests (Cardiff and Vale UHB - Information Governance),

All repair work that still needs doing, please, regardless of when it was first logged or why.

I hope this clarifies my request.

Thankyou.

Dear Cardiff and Vale University Health Board,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board's handling of my FOI request 'Maintenance Backlog'.

By law, I should have received a response by the 10th of this month, and that was a delayed timetable following a push back on the deadline due to clarification being requested.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

Yours faithfully,

Craig Dixhuit

Dear Cardiff and Vale University Health Board,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board's handling of my FOI request 'Maintenance Backlog'.

My initial request for information was made on 14th October 2024 - the date is now 17th February 2025 and I am no closer to receiving the information. I have made similar requests to other health boards in the past and have had very prompt responses, with Cardiff and Vale UHB being the sole example of inability or unwillingness to comply.

I previously made a request for an internal review on 11th December 2024, which was refused on the grounds that my request was still being dealt with, but the fact that the request is still outstanding implies that was not the case, so I am once again requesting both an internal review AND for my request to be dealt with as a matter of absolute priority.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

Thankyou.
