Maintenance adjustment following birth of child

We're waiting for Sarah Coleman to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Child Maintenance Service,

Can you please supply the documentation which relates to the paying parent notifying the CMS following the birth of another child.

Can you please explain why a birth certificate cannot be used as evidence of the birth, and why the maintenance calculation is not immediately adjusted in accordance with this?

Can you please confirm explain why the calculation is adjusted from the date the CMS are notified and not the date the child is born?

Yours faithfully,

Sarah Coleman
