Maintainence and Responsibilty of flood water drainage.
Dear Drainage Council for Northern Ireland, who is responsible for the maintainence of flood water drains for housing executive estates, and what responsibility does that agency have to any exisisting drainage system that may have been in place prior to a new development beening connected into it?
Also who would be responsible for the upgrading of such a drainage system if further developments were to be added, and
it was found to be incapable of handling flood water run-off due to overdevelopment, and causes a back=up of water through the existing system and causes flooding to an area prior to those developments?
Yours faithfully,
G.Broadbent
Dear Drainage Council for Northern Ireland,as i have not received any acknowedgement to my request i can only hope that either you did not receive my initial request or that it is a clerical oversight, as we are all aware of any legal implication that may arise out of a refusal to provide information correctly requested. I would therefore wish to know who and what department is responsible for attending to such requests as a failure to now answer my request will result in the matter being passed on to the Information Commissioner.
Yours faithfully,
Graham Broadbent
