Dear Mr/Ms Smyth,
Thank you for your email dated 22 April 2014 about Edubase.
You requested: “Under the Freedom of Information Act please provide me with the data you
have for Secondary schools in England including: Name, Address, Contact email, Status, URN,
LA, Establishment number, GSS LA Code, Headteacher, Type of establishment. Please provide
these as an excel document or csv file.”

I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and a  copy of the
information as held by the Department as at 2^nd May 2014 is attached.

I have prepared for you an Excel spreadsheet that contains –

A list of all establishments that have a phase of education of secondary or middle deemed
secondary in England with addresses, Head Teacher details, school email addresses and
telephone number where available.

At present the Department does not hold individual Head Teacher or school staff email
information, and for this reason we have supplied you with the school email address where
possible.

The extract can be sorted to your own requirements by Phase of Education (primary, secondary
etc.) or Type of Establishment (academy, free school, community school, etc.). Further
information on these and other terms used within this extract can be found in the EduBase
glossary:  [1]http://www.education.gov.uk/edubase/glos...

As part of the data extract we have included the school Unique Reference Number (URN) so
that if you require further information on any particular school record please go to
[2]www.education.gov.uk/edubase where you will be able to view more information.

If you have any further issues or queries please do not hesitate to contact the EduBase
helpdesk using the feedback form: [3]http://www.education.gov.uk/edubase/feed...

any other purpose authorised by an exception in current copyright law. Documents (except
