Thank you for your request for information above, which we have dealt with
under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the significant delay in collating
this information. I hope the following will answer your query:

 1. In financial year 16/17 South Cambridgeshire District Council sent
24,913 pieces of 1st Class mail up to 100g not including signed for or
business mail.
a. £0.51 for standard letter
b. In financial year 16/17 £12,769.47 was spent on 1st class mail up
to 100g.

 2. In financial year 16/17 South Cambridgeshire District Council sent
60,201 pieces of 2nd Class mail up to 100g not including signed for or
business mail.
a. £0.37 for standard letter
b. In financial year 16/17 £22,419.16 was spent on 2nd class mail up
to 100g.

 3. SCDC does not use a downstream access provider.

 4. SCDC does not use a hybrid mail solution.
