Dear Home Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Home Office's handling of my FOI request 'Macur Review'.

I have received no substantive reply to my request from 7 October,

"Has the Macur review been given to the Home Office yet?
What information does the Home office hold on the Macur review?
When is the Macur review due to publish its report? "

Nor have I received a substantive reply to my reminder on 5November
"I was told that I would have a reply by 4 November. I have not had
one. This means the Home Office in not in compliance with the FOI
Act. Please could you tell me who is responsible for compliance
with the Act and why I have not had a reply."

Please therefore undertake an internal review, into the time delay, and also respond by return to my original FOI Request. It appears the Home Office acts as though the FOI Act ddoes not apply to the Home Office, could you confirn that it is bound by the FOI Act 2000

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

I am writing to request an internal review of Home Office's handling of my FOI request 'Macur Review'.

The FOI Act is quite clear , you are to reply promptly and in any event to reply with 20 working days. This you failed to do, you also failed to apologise, and you failed to reply to my follow up on 5 Nov.

I wish to know why you failed to comply with the law and who was responsible. Further, as you state the matters raised in the request are the responsibility of the Dept of Justice, which would have taken 2 minutes to do and you waited 48 days. Please explain how this is not incompetence.

Further you have not answered the question that is the responsibility of the Home Office "What information does the Home office hold on the Macur review?"

Please could you also state the date of transfer to the Justice Department

Dear Home Office,

This is for the Home Office not the Justice Department. Please stop
referring me to the Justice Department. It seems you cannot read or are particularly obtuse.

You took 6 weeks to answer my request and I wish you to carry out an internal review on this.
If you fail to take it to Internal Review, then by that
action you agree to my charges of £2,000 for each failure to do so, and
£300 per hour or part of my time each time I have to deal with this.

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of

Further you have not answered the question that is the
responsibility of the Home Office "What information does the Home
office hold on the Macur review?"
I wish a proper answer under the FOI Act 2000. If you fail to answer then it is possible that you are covering up what inforamtion you have ,and are illegally deleting what information you have on the Macur review

Please could you also state the date of transfer to the Justice
Department, something you also have failed to do 3 times now.

available on the Internet at this address:

You will continue to get thsi sent back to you until you carry out an internal review on time daly and the other questions raised, adn you will continue to rack up charges

Dear Ms Fox,

I am writing further to my email of 31 December 2014, in which I explained
that we were unable to complete our internal review within 20 working

review and our substantive response can be found in the attachment to this
email.

In summary, your requests for information were not handled as well as they
should have been, and for this I would like to apologise on behalf of the

I am also sorry for the delay in responding to your request for an
internal review, and I wish to thank you for the patience you have shown
during this time.
