M1 North Bound, Breaston Junction 24A-25

The request is waiting for clarification. If you are Ibby Thompson, please sign in to send a follow up message.

Dear Highways England Company Limited,

I have been issued with a notice of intended prosecution for travelling at a speed of 73 in a 50MPH but I am a very conscious driver and drive at the speed limit so it amazes me that I could have been going this far over the limit. Are the speed limits clearly signed along the M1? Further, I would have been conscious if I was travelling this much faster than the other cars on the road, therefore I would like full clarity of the speed limit and where this supposed offence occured. I have been issued a ticket from the 31/01/19.

Yours faithfully,

Isabelle

Dear Ms Thompson

Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding your query on speed
restrictions on the M1. In order for us to collate the information and
draft a response we need the following information –

What junction of the M1 were you travelling at?

Was it northbound or southbound?

Is the date of the offence correct 31/01/19? As this was 2 years ago

Time of offence?

Without this information I cannot gather the information needed for a
response.

Kind regards
