Dear London School of Economics,

Hope you are having a nice day.

I would like to know for the past 3 years for Philosophy and Economics:

1. How many people applied for Philosophy and Economics?
2. How many of those were A level students?
3. How many of the A Level applicants were from Private Schools?
4. What were the average predictions of A Level students?
5. What were the average predictions of A Level students from Private Schools?

Yours faithfully,

S Patel

Dear Shreena,

I've had a request from colleagues for clarification on the following point. Can you confirm what you mean by 'average predictions'.

Once we have your confirmation, we will be able to further process your request.

Dear GLPD.Info.Rights,

What was the avergae predictions for all candidates who received an offer? Meaning was it an average of AAA, A*aa, A*a*a or greater?

Yours sincerely,

Shreena Patel

Dear Shreena,

I have contacted colleagues in our student database team. We would not be able to produce such an average as we have some applicants presenting with 4, 5 or more A-Levels and that some A-Levels are mandatory and some are excluded. As such, we do not hold the information you requested and can’t supply it to you.

Although we have not been able to supply you with the information you requested this time, the School is committed to Freedom of Information and would be happy to receive any further requests you wish to make.

Yours sincerely,
Rachael Maguire
