Lowes Road Landfill Site 2014 Objections received for the previous application, reference 57551

Alyson Malach made this Freedom of Information request to Bury Metropolitan Borough Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Bury Metropolitan Borough Council,

I have recently submitted an objection to the second planning application to build 24 Houses on the Landfill site on Lowes Road. In the letter I asked why planning permission to build on that site was withdrawn last year. The residents of Lowes Road and the surrounding areas are concerned about gas explosions, methane, arsenic and more gases. We want to know on what basis the application was withdrawn in 2014.
We have asked the council planning team to consider our objections for last year and have been told that these cannot be considered
However, we need to know the basis of the withdrawal of the planning application in 2014 as we are concerned that as residents we are not aware of the issues/reasons for the application being withdrawn and it may affect our health and homes.

Please provide us with the information of why the application was withdrawn in 2014.

Yours faithfully,

Alyson Malach
