Lower Lea Crossing - TfL Taking Over
Dear Newham Borough Council,
Part of the Silvertown Tunnel works includes TfL taking over responsibility/ownership of the Lower Lea crossing.
What is Newham responsible for today with regard to this road and the slip roads associated with the Lower Lea crossing? Ideally with a map showing the areas that Newham are currently responsible for.
What part of the Lower Lea crossing will TfL own/become responsible for? Again a map will be useful.
At a Riverlinx meeting it was suggested that Newham own/are responsible for the on and off ramps from Orchard Place. It was suggested that Newham are responsible for the crossing and slip roads until they meet the Leamouth roundabout.
Please can you confirm whether this is correct?
How frequently do Newham sweep/clean this section of road of mud/dust and vegetation?
