Lost and stolen items in galleries and museum collections
Dear Culture and Sport Glasgow,
Please treat this email as a Freedom of Information request.
I seek information about items that are either missing or stolen in your museum or gallery collection.
Please could you provide me with an itemised list of:
1. Items that are currently regarded as missing from the collection.
2. Items that are currently regarded as stolen from the collection.
3. Items in the museum or gallery collection where their whereabouts are currently unknown.
4. Items that were thought to be lost, stolen or missing that were subsequently recovered by the organisation in the last 3 years.
For each item above, please provide:
1. a name and short description, if known.
2. a date when the item was first recorded as missing, stolen or of unknown location and a date of recovery, if known.
3. an estimated value, if known.
Lastly, please could you confirm whether any staff faced disciplinary action in connection with any missing, stolen or lost items listed above in the last three years.
I would be grateful if you could provide the requested information in a machine readable format such as Microsoft Excel files or CSV format files. If possible, I would prefer not to receive the requested data in pdf format files.
