Lord Chancellor's qualifying experience

The request was partially successful.

Dear Prime Minister’s Office,

Section 2 of the Constitutional Reform Act 2005 says that a person may not be recommended for appointment as Lord Chancellor unless he appears to the Prime Minister to be qualified by experience.

Please provide details of the experience that appeared to the Prime Minister to qualify Chris Grayling MP to be recommended for appointment as Lord Chancellor earlier this month.

Thank you for your assistance.

Yours faithfully,

Mr R Wright
