Dear Salford City Council,

I am writing to respectfully access my rights in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. My request is as follows:-

1. Please can you provide (in any form) a disclosure of how many 'Looked After Children' your authority was responsible for during the years 2003 - 2008 and again for 2017 and 2018.

2. Please can you provide (in any form) a disclosure of the number of qualified social workers who were employed on or behalf of the authority to work with 'Looked After Children' for the above years. Please do not include unqualified support staff including Fieldwork Support Officers or other designations which do not fall into the category of 'qualified social worker'.

3. How many children's homes currently are run, owned or controlled by the local authority and how many children do these homes accommodate?

4. How many contracts or approved private providers does the local authority currently have working arrangements, contracts or otherwise with in which children who are deemed 'looked after' are sent to be cared for on or behalf of the local authority?

Regarding Q1 does you mean all children looked after at any point between
