Having considered your request for information I regret to advise you that the County 
Council does not hold the information you have requested.
Warwickshire have on occasion used unregulated accommodation for children under 16 
between March 2022 & March 2023 short-term and / or temporary arrangements when 
a child is considered as requiring alternative care to meet their immediate and complex 
needs. Unfortunately these are not currently reportable, but do include the following 
scenarios;
• Children who are placed with grandparents or extended family who are approved 
by the Family Court but who do not meet fostering regulations
• Children who are on a short break for over 28 days
• Children placed within care arrangements overseen by the Family Court, 
approved and even ordered by the Family Court but are unregulated as they are 
not approved arrangements under fostering standards or Ofsted registered
Warwickshire have internal procedures where any unregulated accommodation is being 
considered for a child to ensure full governance and oversight of such an arrangement 
and to check it is inline with the needs of the child at that time.
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an 
internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted within 40 days of the date 
of receipt of the response to your original letter and should be addressed to:
