Dear Mr French

Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 - Release of
Information

Subject: Long Dalmahoy Road

Thank you for your request for information of 16/08/2018 where you asked
the following:

Long Dalmahoy Road has been closed recently. Despite being a designated
core path, this has included periods of time when it was closed to
pedestrians and cyclists.

Please send details of all relevant traffic orders.

Your request has been processed and considered under the Environmental
Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (EIRs) and the information is
provided below.

Please note that third party information has been redacted from what is
being disclosed to you. Regulation 11(2) of the EIRs exempts the
disclosure of personal data of people other than yourself. ‘Personal data’
means data which relate to a living individual who can be identified from
that data. We consider that the release of this information, in response
to your request, would breach the first data protection principle, that of
fair processing, as it would not be fair, or expected, for the personal
data of these individuals to be released into the public domain. This
constitutes a formal refusal notice under regulation 10(3) of the EIRS
concerning any personal information which we have not disclosed.

Please find attached as requested a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order for
closure on Long Dalmahoy Road.

A permit for the recent works was approved for a working duration of 14
weeks from the 17 June to 23 September 2018 and is recorded on the
Scottish Road Works Register:

[2]https://www.roadworksscotland.org/

A request was also received to promote a temporary road closure on Long
Dalmahoy Road to carry out works in a safe manner due to the confined
width of the carriageway. We are currently arranging for a road closure
order to be made to allow the contractor to continue with his works.

The works that are left are a closure between Ravelrig Road and Haggs Farm
Road and traffic lights at the junctions of Warriston Farm Road and Haggs
Farm Road.

I can inform you that the works do allow access for the following: local
access, pedestrians cyclists and emergency vehicles.  Further to
discussions with the contractor, arrangements will be made for additional
signs to be put in place at either end of the works.

To promote transparency and accountability, please note it is the
Council’s policy to publish all request details and responses made under
the freedom of information legislation. This information will be made
available through the Council’s website and will not include your personal
details. The disclosure log is available at the following link:
