I can confirm that your request will be processed under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, Environmental Information Regulations (Scotland) 2004, or the INSPIRE (Scotland) Regulations 2009.

Thank you for your request for information of 17/01/2023, which has been processed under the terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. Unfortunately, the Council is only able to meet part of your request and this information is released to you below.

1-Can you tell me the total amount of employees that have been diagnosed with 'long COVID' from 2020-2023?

When recording a Covid related absence we do not differentiate between Covid and Long Covid.

2-Can you tell me the total amount of staff diagnosed with 'long COVID' that were unable to return to work?

We do not record this information in relation to Long Covid.

3-What is the total amount of staff employed by Edinburgh City Council?

We have 14,920 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) colleagues employed by City of Edinburgh Council.
