Dear Mr. Randall
Freedom of Information Enquiry: PLA029317A
Thank you for your information request dated 14/06/2021.
I am happy to supply you with the information you requested.
- brick built lockups the authority has on books
Clackmannanshire Council has 1018 brick built lock-up garages and 303
constructed of other materials.
- how many are occupied
Across all construction types 731 are currently let.
- how many are empty (Available)
Currently our records show 320 empty lock-up garages across all
construction types and areas are empty. Not all those lock-ups are
available to be let and the council is working through a programme of
selective demolition etc.
The fact that the available lockups are not published advertised
Available lock-up garages are not currently advertised. A waiting list is
maintained for each area and available lock-up garages are let to those
who express an interest via the waiting list.
What the up to date rules are to what they can be used for as my last
published rule stated for vehicle use only.
The Council's lock-up garage lease agreement states that their use is for
storing a vehicle.
Yours sincerely
Julie Russell
