Lockdown Suicides
Dear North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust,
Under the Freedom of Information Act, please provide the following:
1) The number of suicides in your constituency, occurring between April 2019-March 2020 inclusive.
2) The number of suicides in your constituency, occurring between April 2020-March 2021 inclusive.
3) Any data you have showing the cause of or motivation for suicides that occurred in the time periods specified above.
4) Any data you have showing the number suicides that occurred as a result of a change in a person's life, due to UK COVID-19 lockdown, social distancing and/or face mask policies.

I am dealing with this under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act
2000, while we endeavour to respond to requests in the usual timescales,
we want to make you aware that responding to the current clinical priority
of Covid19 may mean at times we struggle to meet these timescales.

With regard to your FOI request which was received in this office on
Tuesday 13^th April 2021 regarding Suicides. The Trust requires further
information in order to identify and locate the information that you have
asked for. Can I ask you to clarify your request by informing us if the
information you are requesting the data for acute hospitals, if patients
where admitted to the hospitals or if the patients where on the wards or
if the data of for a for mental health wards if patients where admitted to
the hospitals or if the patients where on the wards
Please can you expand what you are looking for with this request.
Please note we do not have to deal with this request until we have
received the clarification requested (see exemption section 1(3) of the
Act) therefore the 20 working days allowed to respond will not commence
until we receive adequate clarification.
