Dear Mr & Mrs Foden,

Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information Request.  I am now able
to provide you with the information supplied by the relevant department,
as follows:

Please find below the number of Nottinghamshire residents aged 18 to 25 in
receipt of High Needs Funding  accessing  Further Education over the last
four academic years.

18/25
year old
accessing
college
2014 /
2015 169
2015 /
2016 227
2016 /
2017 213
2017 /
2018 190

The distribution of learners by institution varies from year to year but
over the last four years Vision West Nottinghamshire College has remained
the largest provider by some margin, followed by Nottingham College. Each
year a smaller, but significant, number of learners attend RNN Group
(North Nottinghamshire College); Lincoln College (particularly the Newark
campus) and Derby College.

In terms of Specialist College provision, Portland College is the largest
provider by a very significant margin . Nottinghamshire County Council
also commissions placements at Landmarks Specialist College and Doncaster
Communication College.

Each year there will be a small number of placements, both mainstream and
specialist, which are commissioned at other institutions where
circumstances so warrant.
