SES Official Correspondence,

Dear Mr. Mallon,

I am writing to advise you that the time-limit for responding to your request for information which we received on 19th July needs to be extended.

In the case of your request, I must extend the time limit by approximately 20 working days because the information requested must be considered under one of the exemptions to which the public interest test applies. This extra time is needed in order to make a determination as to the public interest.

I hope to let you have a response by 13 September.

If you have any queries about this letter, please contact me. Please remember to quote reference number 753,534 in any future communications.

If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your request you may ask for an internal review within 2 months of the date of this response for Freedom of Information requests and within 40 days for Environmental Information Regulations requests.
Our internal review process is available at: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisati...

If you require a print copy, please phone the Information Line on 0300 123 5000; or e-mail [email address]. You should contact me if you wish to complain.

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at:

Dear SES Official Correspondence,

Reference Number 753,534

Thank you for your response.

Should, in due course, my request be deemed to have not passed the public interest test, please be advised that I am aware that the information I am requesting has been supplied in response to a previous, similar, request made to your your predecessor, the Highways Agency, on 9 September 2014 and I would of course in that instance request an explanation of the change in policy since that date.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Mallon
