Localism Act Private Sector Discharge of Duty to Homeless People
Dear Lambeth Borough Council,
Could I please have the following information for the period October 2013-January 2015:
Question 1
1a) The number of households given a private rented sector offer to discharge your full housing duty under Section 193 7AA-7AC of the 1996 Housing Act as amended by s.148 (5)-(7) Localism Act 2011.
1b) The number to 1a broken down for each local authority area into which they were offered housing (eg. 5 to Croydon).
1c) The number of households of 1a who actually took the private sector offer.
Question 2
2a) The number of households for whom you had a homelessness duty to and this was discharged through a private rented sector tenancy, but not through a Section 193 7AA-7AC offer (therefore excluding the numbers in 1a).
2b) The number to 2a broken down for each local authority area into which they were housed.
Question 3
3a) The number of households you have helped into private sector tenancies for whom you have no homelessness duty under the Housing Act 1996.
3b) The number to 3a broken down for each local authority area into which they were housed.
Question 4
4a) The number of households placed in temporary accommodation for whom you owed a homelessness duty.
4b) The number to 4a broken down for each local authority area into which they were temporarily housed.
