Local Resilience Forum - Flood prevention plans
Dear South Wales Local Resilience Forum,
Please can you answer the following EIR/FOI request:
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Local Resilience Forums (LRF) have to manage risk, make plans, and warn the public when emergencies which includes flooding.
The key duty is Section 2(1)(d) of the CCA - the LRF must:
maintain plans for the purpose of ensuring that if an emergency occurs or is likely to occur the person or body is able to perform his or its functions so far as necessary or desirable for the purpose of—
(i) preventing the emergency,
(ii) reducing, controlling or mitigating its effects, or
(iii) taking other action in connection with it,
Furthermore LRF's are required to develop and maintain a multi-agency flood plan.
MY REQUEST
1 - Please can you confirm if you have produced a multi-agency flood plan?
2 - if the answer to question 1 is yes, please can you confirm the date it was published and the date that the plan was last updated.
3 - Please can you provide a copy of the latest multi-agency flood plan and/or any similar and relevant current flood prevention plans produced by the LRF.
