Ah! Thanks for setting me straight, Simon. 29th November is the date of the next Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) Board meeting and I was confusing the two.

My request, however, relates to the the ICB and I'd be grateful for your response before the CPFT meeting if at all possible. It coincides with a number of PPG developments I'm engaged with locally in efforts to increase their membership(s) to help deliver the Strategic Plan.

I'm already in early correspondence with Chief Nursing Officer Carol Anderson and I'd be pleased to copy you in for Corporate Governance purpose. I hasten to add that I'm not acting as a journalist in this respect but as a volunteer member of the the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprises (VCSE) non-profit sector researching AI in relation to public health.

Yours sincerely

Thanks for the clarification, Terry.

You've made a formal FOI request to the ICB - and as I'm sure you know under the Act the ICB has 20 Working days in which to provide a response.

The ICB receives large numbers of FOI requests on daily basis and has only limited resources to respond to all by their respective statutory deadlines. As such, I'm not able to give a guarantee that we can provide a response to this request before 29 November (next Wednesday).

Do you still wish me to log and process your request?

Kind regards

Simon

Dear Simon

Yes, I still want to go ahead but it was likley to be too late for today's meeting so I registered the question below with CPFT's Corporate Office on Monday and received their reply this morning. I'm in the meeting now but there have been some local developments, which mean it can wait now until the ICB meeting in January by which time I'll have had ICB's reply to this FOI.

I've checked out your Governance guidelines and there seems nothing there to prevent a comprehensive response save that some commercially-sensitive information may need to be redacted but shouldn't stand in the way of better collaboration in delivering the LTP at a local level.
It may mean a bit more work but with time on our side now, but t'll be worth it. I think we could use South Cambridgeshire District Council and PPGs in their area as a FY23/24 good practice example on the way into FY24/25 before further public funds are committed or raised from other sources.

Good ground lost through Covid-19 needs to be restored if we're to take full advantage of AI and we need new direction from NHS England now that NHS Digital are under the same roof or we won't know whether we're coming or going. The implications for Digital Inclusion are clear and need addressing as a matter of priority before the gap widens.

...my question btw to CPFT (Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust) on Monday was:

Subject: Wednesday Board Meeting Question

Good morning Caroline

CPFT is noted as a Top Research-Active NHS Trust in England. Where are the conversations taking place on AI within NHS and locally within the Cambridgesahire and Peterborough ICB, in relation also to the Mental Health Bill being shelved in the King's Speech and delays in delivering the Care Act 2014 guidance?

Kind regards, Terry

Dear Terry

Apologies - but I'm still not entirely clear on the FOI request you are to making to the ICB, which is probably down to my lack of understanding - but can you please clarify. I've copied and pasted below the original questions raised - which we determined were more pertinent to the CPFT Board than us. Can you advise/re-submit - and I will then formally log and acknowledge the request.

Original questions sent.

In the name of effective collaboration, please be kind enough to provide the following information prior to the next ICB Board Meeting on 29th November 2023:

1. Copies of applications for funding to support Local Prevention and Community Engagement Initiatives for Financial Year 23/24.

2. A list of approved applications with amounts awarded; showing details of match funding, Terms and Conditions of each award, and outputs/ outcomes to date against projection.

3. A copy of the 29th November 2023 Board Meeting Agenda.

As FOI co-ordinator I don't need to know further background/context - just the actual question/information being sought. As I'm sure you are aware requests made under the FOIA only concern recorded information held by an organisation as at the date a request is received.

Many thanks

Simon
