Thank you for your email that we received on 18 August 2015, requesting
information relating to Nature Reserves.

 

In response to your request I can now provide the following information. 

 

Q) Please provide a copy of the Management Plans for each of the Local
Nature Reserves within the Borough.

 

A) Stockton Borough Council owns 12 Local Nature Reserves. They are:

 

o Billingham Beck Valley Country Park – Please see attached
o Charltons Pond  - Please see attached – Please see attached
o Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park – Please see attached
o Wynyard Woodland Park (Thorpe Wood section only) – Please see attached
o Stillington Forest Park – Please see attached
o Norton Grange Marsh – Please see attached
o Greenvale – Please see attached
o Hardwick Dene and Elm Tree Woods (leased to Tees Valley Wildlife
Trust)
o Barwick Pond – Please see attached
o Bassleton Wood / The Holmes (Management Plan TBC)
o Black Bobbies Field (Management Plan TBC)
o Quarry Wood – Please see attached

 

In order to be able to provide this document to you electronically, the
management plans have been combined into one document.

 

Please note that we are currently in the process of ‘management planning’
all of our public open space by habitat by collating our grassland
management activities, wetland conservation, woodland etc. This strategy
has been presented to our Environment Select Committee who will be updated
in March 2016.
