Local authority pension fund investments in an XLS spreadsheet

Dear Aberdeen City Council,

Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act I would like to request the following information as an XLS (Microsoft Excel) spreadsheet.

1. List of investments of the local authority pension fund

Please provide a list of the North East Scotland Pension Fund's investments for the end of the 2015-16 financial year, or if this is not available, the most recently available data, in an XLS spreadsheet.

For each investment, please provide the asset class. For equity investments please include the full name of individual equities, the quantity of each share held, and the total and unit value of each equity.

2. Fund managers

Please provide a list of any external managers and/or advisors employed by the local authority for the purposes of managing pension fund assets, with a copy of the corresponding procurement brief and the total cost of their services for the corresponding financial year.

For your information please note this data is being requested as part of a research project organised by Friends of the Earth Scotland, Friends of the Earth (England, Wales and Northern Ireland), 350.org, Community Re:Invest and Platform London.

As List of investments of the local authority pension fund is otherwise
accessible on the NESPF website at the link provided above, it is exempt
from disclosure.  In order to comply with its obligations under the terms
of Section 16 of the FOISA, ACC hereby gives notice that we are refusing
your request under the terms of Section 25(1) - Information Otherwise
Accessible - of the FOISA.

 

2. Fund managers

Details of our external managers & advisors can be found in our annual
report & accounts available at

the 15/16 year.

 

In terms of procurement briefs please find attached ITT ‘s for our recent
appointments for investment consultants and for ‘a dynamic  De-Risking
Solution for the ACC Transport Fund’.

 

As Fund managers is otherwise accessible on the NESPF website at the link
provided above, it is exempt from disclosure.  In order to comply with its
obligations under the terms of Section 16 of the FOISA, ACC hereby gives
notice that we are refusing your request under the terms of Section 25(1)
- Information Otherwise Accessible - of the FOISA.
