If you are making a request for information under DPA/GDPR we will aim to
respond within the statutory timeframe of one month except in the case of
complex or numerous requests in which case this period may be extended by

Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

I refer to your request dated 19/01/2021 for information regarding local
authority discretionary grants and home-based businesses. 

In order to deal with your request, I require some clarification. The
Local Authority Discretionary Grant scheme in Scotland was only announced
in December 2020 by the Scottish Government. We did not have a
Discretionary Grant in March 2020, which is the date you have requested
information from. There have been numerous business grant schemes provided
since March 2020 for set periods of time, therefore can you please clarify
which grants you are requesting information on.
