Dear London North Eastern Railway Limited,
The Guard on board your 1S24 1556 Kings Cross to Edinburgh was harassing customers on board, this included writing down seat numbers of passengers who were not wearing face coverings and passing this onto BTP for investigation between Berwick and Edinburgh.
Please can you answer the following questions
Q1) Have LNER authorised their Guards to record seat numbers of all passengers not wearing face coverings to pass on to BTP to determine exemptions?
Q2) What information exactly do LNER provide to BTP in these cases? For example is customer data passed on to BTP?
Q3) Was the LNER Guard acting in accordance with LNER instructions/policies?
Q4) People who are exempt from wearing face coverings are entitled to travel in a hassle-free environment; what safeguards are in place by LNER to ensure they are able to do so?
