I write on behalf of the University of Leicester in response to your request, dated 15th February 2018 made under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

I would like to request some information regarding the 2016/2017 M100 Law admissions cycle, please see the question below. For each applicant who applied, was given an offer and placed University of Leicester as their firm choice, I would like to know how many who achieved under the entry requirements AAB were denied entry.

The university response is as follows

Figures below refers to applicant numbers based on their best 3 A-Levels that fall into the group of ABB or less.

Please note that due to the small numbers involved, and concerns over individuals being identified, we are choosing not to make the specific number available. We can advise that it is less than five. This decision has been made under the Section 40(2) exemption covering the personal data of third parties, and in line with ICO guidance on small numbers.
