Liverpool City Region Development Plan / Spatial Framework

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, St Helens, Sefton and Wirral Combined Authority,

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority recently published the ‘Greater Manchester Spatial Framework’, a development plan covering the 10 local authority areas of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

1.What powers regarding strategic planning across the 6 local authority areas of the Liverpool City Region does the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority currently have?

2. What powers regarding strategic planning across the 6 local authority areas of the Liverpool City Region will the new Liverpool City Region Mayor have?

3. Will the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, or Liverpool City Region Mayor, be preparing a development plan / spatial framework covering the 6 local authority areas of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority?

4. If so, when is preparation of such a development plan / spatial framework expected to commence?

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Burrows
