Parish Clerk, Hayfield Parish Council

Ellen,
Most of your questions are not applicable to this ‘Parish Council’ which
has no enforcement power nor statutory responsibility  in respect of
litter except on the small pieces of land owned by the Parish Council. The
appropriate Local Authority for the subject are the High Peak Borough
Council and Derbyshire County Council.
Littering
1. Refer to Borough our County Council
2. As above
3. As above
4. In the last two years - two (Caveat I have only been in post two years
my search relates to all communications available searching under the term
‘litter')
5. No employees for ‘litter picking’. One part time staff member to empty
dual waste bins on Parish Council Land only.
6. None
7. None
Fly Tipping
1. As per one above
2. As above
3. As above
4. One from a High Peak Borough Councillor which was less complaint more
to inform us of her actions
5. Nil at this time as we haven’t had to do it and unless on our land
(which is very little) we would refer to a Higher Council and don’t have
any statutory responsibility.
