Dear Hannah Quinn,

I do not believe that the answer to my question relating to the sites where the waste is initially taken to and ultimately disposed of - Meece Hanford Energy from waste plant is entirely correct.

The waste is collected presumably by persons in vans or by street sweepers. Do these go directly to Hanford or is the waste taken elsewhere prior to bulking up and then sending to Hanford?

I was quite clear in my question that I wanted to know where thewaste was taken to "initially" and also "ultimately". Please confirm if indeed each individual litter bin collection is taken directly to Hanford or if it is sent elsewhere first.

Yours sincerely,

Simon Shaw

Dear Mr Shaw,

I have now completed an Internal Review regarding your request for
information about litter.  I can confirm that I am partially upholding
your Appeal.  Please find my explanation for this below.

In our response provided to you on the 13th September we stated:

The sites where the litter bin waste is initially taken to and ultimately
disposed of.
- Hanford Energy from waste plant.

I have now verified the information provided with the department and to
clarify, the waste is taken to a Transfer Site in the City and then it is
collected and taken to either Meece Landfill site or Hanford Energy Site.

This Internal Review is now closed.

If you are not content with the outcome of your Internal Review, you can
contact the Information Commissioner for a decision.  The Information
Commissioner can be contacted at: The Information Commissioner’s Office,
Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely

Louise Kelly
