Dear Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council,

I am writing to request statistics regarding:

The cost to the council for the removal of chewing gum from
pathways and roads within the boroughs.

The extent and cost to the council for the removal and disposal of
litter consisting of packaging from fast food outlet products.

The number of waste disposal and litter bins around the borough.

The change in the number of litter bins in the borough over the
last 5 years.

costs and litter bins, which was received on 27 February.  The response to
your questions is below.

 

·         The cost to the council for the removal of chewing gum from
pathways and roads within the boroughs. 

 

Currently costs £9365.16.

    

·         The extent and cost to the council for the removal and disposal
of litter consisting of packaging from fast food outlet products. 

 

We do not record this information. 

    

·         The number of waste disposal and litter bins around the
borough. 

 

1400 Litter Bins 

    

·         The change in the number of litter bins in the borough over the
last 5 years.
