Dear Greenwich Borough Council,
I would appreciate if you could provide me with responses to each of the following questions, for the last five years.
1 - How much did you spend on marketing and promotional activities relating to litter, flytipping or recycling? (Please give separate values for each category)
2 - How much did you spend on litter picking and other street cleaning activities?
3
a - How many incidents of fly-tipping were reported?
b - What type of waste did these incidents involve?
c - How many of these incidents were handled with FPNs?
d - How many of these incidents were taken to court? And how many of these resulted in successful convictions?
e - How many of these incidents did the council clear? And how much was spent on doing do?
f - How many reported incidents were on private land, and were the responsibility of the landowner?
4 -Does the council use a third party to enforce litter, flytipping and other waste crimes? If so, who?
5 - What percentage of street litter and waste is recycled?
6 - How much does the council spend on street bins and other waste related furniture?
7 - If held, please provide a list of all council operated litter bins.

responsibility of the landowner? We do not record this data
4 -Does the council use a third party to enforce litter, flytipping and
other waste crimes? If so, who?
Yes, the Local Authority use a third party company (LAS Local Authority
Support) for littering offences only. The rest in in house
5 - What percentage of street litter and is recycled?
None, getting good recycling from street litter is very difficult as one
wrong item contaminates the entire bag and therefore cannot be recycled.
6 - How much does the council spend on street bins and other waste related
furniture?
In the last twelve months we have spent £19,230 on street bins
7 - If held, please provide a list of all council operated litter bins. We
do not hold this data. Our bins are mapped by road, not individually.
