Re: Freedom of Information Request - List of Schools in England

Further to your email dated 10^th May 2011 where you have requested a list
of schools under the Freedom of Information Act.

I am writing to inform you that I am not treating your request as a
Freedom of Information request as this data is readily available via
EduBase.

Please see attached an excel spreadsheet which contains all schools in
England, this includes both state maintained and independent schools. I
note that you have requested the SOA Lower Layer Code, this is the LSOA in
EduBase, I have included the MSOA (Middle Super Output Area) as well.

If you need to view any of the data in more detail please go to
[1]www.edubase.gov.uk, if you need to speak to anyone regarding the data
please don't hesitate to contact either the EduBase helpdesk on telephone
number 0870 120 25 27 or myself on the contact details noted below.

I have also attached a user agreement for you to complete. This will
