I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and a copy of the
information as held by the Department as at 26th June 2014 is attached.
I have prepared for you an Excel spreadsheet that contains –
An extract of all Educational establishments in England that have a phase of education of
Secondary, Middle deemed secondary or All through with addresses, Head Teacher details,
school email addresses and telephone number where available.
At present the Department does not hold individual Head Teacher or school staff email
information, and for this reason we have supplied you with the school email address where
The extract can be sorted to your own requirements by Phase of Education (primary, secondary
etc.) or Type of Establishment (academy, free school, community school, etc.). Further
information on these and other terms used within this extract can be found in the EduBase
The Department for Education is responsible for education and children’s services in
England. The department does not hold information for educational establishments in
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This information may be available using the following
Northern Ireland http://www.deni.gov.uk/
As part of the data extract we have included the school Unique Reference Number (URN) so
that if you require further information on any particular school record please go to
www.education.gov.uk/edubase where you will be able to view more information.
