List of school groups within your authority
Dear Bedford Borough Council,
I wish to make a formal request under the Freedom of Information Act to obtain information for school cluster groups/federations/consortia/MAT's including if available, the cluster chairs that are within each group in your local authority.
Please advise the following information please:
- The name of each cluster group/federation/consortia/MAT, how many schools are comprised within them, and the school names.
- Contact information for the cluster chairs or coordinators. Failing that, the name of the lead school.
- The name and contact details of the Local Education Officer

Thank you for your e-mail requesting information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 / Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

Response:
There are no longer any formal clusters in Bedford Borough and Bedford
Borough does not have a Local Education officer.
Judith Lovely is the Manager for School Improvement and Chairs Morris is
the Chief Officer for Schools, SEND and School Infrastructure.
The MATs currently in Bedford Borough are Advantage, BCAT, BILTT,
Chiltern, Heart, and Meridian, and all contact information can be found in
the establishment guide attached.
Schools work collaboratively via Bedford Borough Learning Exchange (BBLE)
which is an organisation run by Headteachers for Headteachers. The
