Dear Mr Patel

As you know, we are dealing with your 25 February request for information
under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (“the Regulations”).
When we wrote to you on 27 February, we explained that we would aim to
answer your request within 20 working days.

We are permitted to extend the deadline on requests under the Regulations
when the complexity and volume of information requested means that it is
not possible to respond to the request within 20 working days.  The
Regulations permit an extension to 40 working days in such circumstances.

Although your request is not complex and voluminous, given the current
Coronavirus situation, there will be a delay in our response to you as we
focus on keeping our people and our customers safe and our services
running.  As such, we will provide a response as soon as possible and
within 40 working days of the date of your request, that is – at the
latest – by 23 April.  However, please note that we aim to respond far in
advance of this date.

If you are unhappy with the handling of your request, you have the right
to ask for an internal review.  Internal review requests should be
submitted within 40 working days of the date of this response, so by 22
May, and should be addressed to the Information Access Team, Northumbrian
Water, Northumbria House, Abbey Road, Pity Me, DH1 5FJ, to
[1][Northumbrian Water request email], or via [2]www.whatdotheyknow.com.

If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of the internal review, you can
apply, without charge, to the Information Commissioner, who will consider
whether we have complied with our obligations under the Regulations, and
can require Northumbrian Water to remedy any problems.  You can find out
more about how to do this, and the Regulations in general, on the
Information Commissioner’s website at [3]www.ico.org.uk. Complaints to the
Information Commissioner can be made via the “report a concern” section of
the website.

If you would prefer to write to the Information Commissioner, she can be
contacted at the Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water
Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.

Thank you for your understanding at this time; if you have any queries
please contact the Information Access Team using the details above, or via
