Subject - Hounslow's Response to your FOI request
Dear Jennifer Wiltshire
Re: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION (FOI) 2000 ACT RESPONSE :
I am writing regarding your request for information dated 28/02/2019. You
have requested the following:
I would like a list of licensed HMOs in your borough please, with the
landlord/freeholders contact details. See attached link to the public
register - list of Licensed HMO addresses
[1]http://data.hounslow.gov.uk/View/housing...
We cannot provide the landlord/freeholder contact details. Any personal
data (third party data) is exempt under section 40(2) of the FOIA 2000.
Section 40 of the FOIA sets out an exemption from the right to know if the
information requested is personal information (third party data) protected
by the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998, provided one of the conditions in
section 40(3) or 40(4) is met. The most common condition for the exemption
to apply is where disclosure would breach one of the data protection
principles contained in Schedule 1 of the DPA (section 40(3)(a)(i) and
40(3)(b)) i.e. where the information is “personal data” which relates to a
living individual who can be identified.
The response to your request has been dealt with under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.
Copyright and misuse information
Most of the information that is provided in response to a FOI request will
be owned by the London Borough of Hounslow and, therefore, covered by the

we share may be owned by another person or organisation (e.g. Ordnance
Survey). Individuals and organisations are free to re-use any information
covered by the [2]Open Government Licence for commercial or non-commercial
purposes, provided the terms of the licence are adhered to. Where the
copyright of the information is owned by another person or organisation,
you must apply to the copyright owner to obtain their permission for
re-use.

to [3]use the online form as this will provide us with the required
information to ensure a prompt response to your request.
Should you feel that the Council has dealt with your request for
information inappropriately or wish to request a review of this response
