Dear Mr Chapman,

Thank you for your query which has been considered under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) 2000. Please be advised, we are applying s.21 FOIA
2000 as this information is already in the public domain and therefore is
reasonably accessible by other means.  The details and addresses of
properties purchased for HS2 can be seen on the details of property
holdings published by the Department for Transport (DfT).  Please find the
most recent publication  at the link below:

[1]http://data.gov.uk/dataset/epims/resourc...

To view the full information please click the ‘Download’ button and select
‘Save’.  You should then be able to open this as an Excel file which
provides the addresses of properties owned by the DfT.  Properties
purchased for HS2 are identified by the label ‘DfT - High Speed Two’ in
Column C (you may need to expand this column to see this properly).  Using
this information you should easily be able to locate properties purchased
for HS2 in the areas in which you are interested.

For all previous publications and to check for regular updates to this
list please see the following link: [2]http://data.gov.uk/dataset/epims.

Using the address details available you should be able to find the date of
acquisition on the House Price Index available through HM Land Registry.
Please find information on this at the following link:
[3]http://www.landregistry.gov.uk/public/ho...

s.21 FOIA 2000 can be viewed in full at the following link:

If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your request or with the
decisions made in relation to your request, you may complain in writing to
HS2 Ltd at the above address. Please also see attached details of HS2
Ltd’s complaints procedure and your right to complain to the Information

Dear HS2Enquiries,
I have received your response, which is not acceptable. Firstly, you must have a complete list yourselves; I am not willing to trawl through over 23,000 properties in the hope that some might relate to HS2. Your statement that the list is published by the DfT appears not to be true, as it covers all government departments.

Secondly, the list does not give property purchase prices, which I asked for.

Thirdly, the list is out-of-date.

Please send me exactly what I asked for.

Yours sincerely,

Antony Chapman
