Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request received on 14
May 2018 when you requested the following information:-

 

Could you please provide list of the properties (commercial and
non-commercial) owned by Reading Council which are vacant now and you are
ok to lease it to a non-profit organisation?

The names and numbers of the buildings are withheld as they fall under
Section 43 which would exempt the information, disclosure of which would
be likely to prejudice the commercial interests of any person. It also
includes a specific exemption for trade secrets. It protects not only the
commercial interests of third parties but also the commercial interests of
the public authority that holds the information.  This exemption is
subject to the public interest test.

 

There are no Council-owned residential properties that are available to
lease.

 

You are free to use any information supplied to you for your own personal
purposes or for non-commercial research, private study or news reporting.
However, you do not have the right to re-use the information in a way
which infringes copyright, for example, by distributing, making copies of
or publishing the information, without the permission of the copyright
holder, which in most cases will be Reading Borough Council. If you wish
to obtain permission for such use, please contact Mr C Brooks, Head of
Legal and Democratic Services, at Reading Borough Council.

 

Please note that your request may itself be the subject of a FOI request
and will be disclosed in that event.

a review and are not content with its outcome, then you have a right to
