List of MOUs

Joseph Cox made this Freedom of Information request to Competition and Markets Authority

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Competition and Markets Authority,

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

- A list of all Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) involving the CMA.

Please note, I am not requesting the MOUs themselves, but a list of them.

In order to help to determine my status to assess fees, you should know that I am a journalist writing for The Daily Beast, and that this request is being made as part of news gathering.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Yours faithfully,

Joseph Cox

Dear Mr Cox

Thank you for your email to the CMA of today's date, copied below, in which you requested a list of all Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) involving the CMA.

Although you made your request under the Freedom of Information Act guidance published by the Information Commissioner says that we may deal with such requests outside the FOIA regime but on one condition – namely that we hold the information, we are intending to disclose that information in its entirety and to do this outside FOIA will be quicker for the requester.

Therefore, please see below a list of all 19 MOUs involving the CMA available by clicking on this link:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio...

I hope the information above answers your request.

Yours sincerely

Nigel Bussey

Hey,

In your last letter you provided a link to CMA's MOUs. However, I believe this list may be incomplete. Here, I obtained an MOU between the CMA and City of London Police: https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/artic...

However, that MOU does not appear to be in the public list.

Please may you provide a list of all CMA MOUs?

Yours sincerely,

Joseph Cox
