I can confirm that the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) has considered your query 
dated the 17th July 2013. 
 
Please could you provide me with a complete list of NHS hospitals in the UK, with, for each hospital, 
the body which is responsible for that hospital given. 
Thank  you  for  your  request.  Please  find  enclosed  an  Excel  spread  sheet  detailing  all  Hospitals 
registered with NHS Choices and an indication of the responsible body (such as the NHS Trust for 
example) for each one. 
Please note that some of the data held within the NHS Choices Service Finder is user generated. In 
this case the Hospitals themselves keep some of their data updated directly. Accordingly, whilst we 
are confident that levels of accuracy will be high, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy in all cases. 
Please also note that NHS Choices covers only England and not the whole of the UK. For Hospital 
listings in Scotland, Wales, NI and the IoM please refer to national authorities in those countries
