List of HMO's and the address of the landlords that own them

The request was successful.

Dear Canterbury City Council,

I am writing to you to make a request for all of the postcodes of HMO properties in the borough of Canterbury under the Freedom of Information Act (2000). In addition to this, I would also like the address of the landlords who own these HMO's under the Housing Act (2004) all preferably within an Excel spreadsheet if possible please.

I look forward to hearing from you, many thanks,

Yours faithfully,

Christian Bangura

Thank you for your freedom of information request.

Please see below for our response.

you are entitled to a copy of it under s232(5).

Consequently this information is exempt from disclosure under the Freedom
of Information Act 2000 per s21 “Information available to the applicant by

However, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 s16 I have a duty to
assist you with your enquiry.  I should like to point out that per Housing
Act 2004 s232(5) you are entitled to receive a copy of the publicly
available register, which is attached.

Please note that this information is not being made available to you under
the Freedom of Information Act 2000 but instead under the Housing Act

If you are unhappy with the way your enquiry has been dealt with, you may
ask for an internal review by e-mailing [1][email address] or by
following the procedure set out on the council’s website.

If you are still dissatisfied after an internal review, you may appeal to
the Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow SK9
