List of Controlled Substances found Naturally within the Cannabis Sativa L. Plant.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs,

Please provide a full list of chemicals found naturally within the Cannabis Sativa L. species which, when isolated (or synthesised/otherwise produced) in pure form, are considered 'controlled substances' under UK law.

If the data is available I would also request the total mass required for those in possession of these chemicals to be considered for prosecution under UK law.

Finally I also request, if available, a full list of chemicals found naturally within the Cannabis Sativa L. species which, when isolated (or synthesised/otherwise produced) in pure form, are not considered 'controlled substances' under UK law.

Yours faithfully,

P Austin

ACMD, Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs

Dear P Austin,

Thank you for your e-mail dated 17 December 2019, which you requested
information held by the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD)
relating to chemicals found naturally within the Cannabis Sativa L.
species. Your request has been handled as a request for information under
the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Information is held on behalf of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of
Drugs (ACMD) by the ACMD's secretariat. Unfortunately we are unable to
provide you with the information, as list of chemicals that you have
requested is not held by the ACMD. The ACMD is a Scientific Advisory
Council who provide independent advice to the Home Secretary. They do not
hold information of the chemical materials found naturally with in
Cannabis plant species

Though we do no hold the information you requested, may want to review the
[1]ACMD Plant Cannabinoids Report which includes a review of cannabinol
derivatives controlled under the Misuse of Drugs Act. In this report you
will find in Annex A list of cannabinols that are controlled by Misuse of
Drugs Act 1971. Alternatively, you may wish to follow up your query with
the Home Office FOI request team ([2][email address] ) who
will be able to direct you to the appropriate department that hold data
regarding this matter.

Kind regards,
