Dear Mr Woodley,
Thank you for your request for information under the provisions of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000.
You asked that I provide you with;
(a) addresses and rateable values of Commercial properties that are within
your District Council up to a rateable value of £12,000 who
are eligible for, but not currently receiving small business rate
relief; and
(b) the names of the owners of those properties referred to in (a)
Please find my response below:
(a): Eligibility for small business rate relief is dependent upon the
rateable value of a property and the circumstances of the
ratepayer. Sheffield City Council is unable to identify commercial
properties where the occupants are eligible for Small Business Rate
Relief but are not currently in receipt of it. I am unable, therefore, to
provide the information requested.
In response to (b): as we do not hold the information for (a) I am unable
to provide the information requested in (b).
Yours faithfully,
Katie Durrant

Dear Mr Woodley,
Thank you again for your revised FOI request dated 24 January 2010.
Please find below my response to your request:
a) I have attached a file which shows the Unique Property Reference, Full Postal Address and current Rateable Value (based on the 2005 RV) for each property in Sheffield with a rateable value of £12,000 or less where the ratepayer is not currently in receipt of Small Business Rate Relief.
b) I can not provide names of owners as this would contravene data protection regulations.
c) The 2005 rateable value is included in the listing attached. I am unable to provide any details from the draft 2010 rating list at this stage.
I trust this now resolves the issue.
Kind regards
Katie Durrant
