List of Awareness Guidance documents published by ICO and their locations

The request was successful.

Dear Information Commissioner’s Office,

I have come across a number of documents on your website from a series entitled "Awareness Guidance" but I can't seen to find an index of all the documents in that series.

Can you please provide one and include details of where each document may be located on your website?

Many thanks

Yours faithfully,
Feargal Hogan

Case Reference Number IRQ0614018

Dear F Hogan

Further to your email of 27 January 2016, we are now in a position to
respond to your request under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act
2000 (FOIA).

Your request

I have come across a number of documents on your website from a
series entitled "Awareness Guidance" but I can't seen to find an
index of all the documents in that series.

Can you please provide one and include details of where each
document may be located on your website?

Our response

The ‘Awareness Guidance’ was a series of FOI guidance documents that were
created a number of years ago, the majority of which have been withdrawn
as they have been superseded by the ICO’s current guidance, which is
available on our website:
[1]https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/gui...
. We no longer produce 'Awareness Guidance' but the existing pieces still
stand where we have not needed to produce updated guidance.

We do not hold an index of these ‘Awareness Guidance’ documents however a
list of the guidance that was produced in that series can be found on The
National Archives UK Government Web Archive under ‘Detailed specialist
guides’ via the following link which is to a page of the ICO’s website
from 2008;

[2]http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.u...

You will note that Awareness guidance number 28 is missing from the list.
Our records show that Awareness Guidance 28 was about Parliamentary
Privilege and was withdrawn prior to 2011. For your information there is a
current version of Parliamentary Privilege (section 34 FOIA) guidance
available on our website:
[3]https://ico.org.uk/media/for-organisatio...

The ‘Awareness Guidance’ which still stands is located on our current
website and can be accessed via the following links;
