Dear Andy Donnachie,

Thank you for your request for information, which was received on 6th
December 2017. You requested a list of all registered training providers
in the United Kingdom (UK), including address, telephone number, email
address, MD/CEO name, and MD/CEO email address.

The Department for Education has interpreted your request as being for a
list of all accredited providers of Initial Teacher Training (ITT),
including address, telephone number, accounting officer name and email
address. The list contains the requested information for ITT providers in
England only, as education is a devolved matter in the UK.

A copy of the requested information is enclosed in Excel format and the
information held on record has been provided.

The information supplied to you continues to be protected by copyright.
You are free to use it for your own purposes, including for private study
and non-commercial research, and for any other purpose authorised by an
exception in current copyright law. Documents (except photographs) can be
also used in the UK without requiring permission for the purposes of news
reporting. Any other re-use, for example commercial publication, would
require the permission of the copyright holder.

Most documents produced by a government department or agency will be
protected by Crown Copyright. Most Crown copyright information can be
re-used under the Open Government Licence
([1]http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/o.... For
information about the OGL and about re-using Crown Copyright information
please see The National Archives website

about obtaining permission from a third party see the Intellectual
Property Office’s website at [3]www.ipo.gov.uk.

remember to quote the reference number above in any future communications.

If you are unhappy with the way your request has been handled, you should
make a complaint to the Department by writing to me within two calendar
months of the date of this letter. Your complaint will be considered by an
independent review panel, who were not involved in the original
consideration of your request.

If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint to the
Department, you may then contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Yours sincerely,

Dear ACCOUNT, Unmonitored,

Thank you very much for the response to my FOI Request. In my original request I asked for information regarding registered Training providers within the UK including the following information:

- Training Provider name
- Address
- Phone number
- Email address
- MD/CEO Name
- MD/CEO contact email address

In the response you mentioned that the request has been interpreted as being a request for a
list of all accredited providers of Initial Teacher Training (ITT). The information I am looking for is not specific to ITT Training providers. I am looking for information related to registered Training Providers who are currently providing all types of training services in England and who are on the national training register, including the above information. I am not looking for providers of specific training courses, I am trying to gather more generalised information.

Yours sincerely,

Andy Donnachie

ESFA, FOI, Department for Education

Dear Andy

A request received by the Department for Education on 6 December has been
transferred to the Education and Skills Funding Agency, an executive
agency of the Department for Education, and which is responsible for adult
further education and apprenticeship training provision in England.

You have requested:

“information regarding registered Training providers within the UK
including the following information:

- Training Provider name

- Address

- Phone number

- Email address

- MD/CEO Name

- MD/CEO contact email address”

The Education and Skills Funding Agency does not hold information for all
‘registered Training providers within the UK’ but holds some information
that you have requested.

This information is published and accessible by other means and is
therefore exempt from disclosure under section 21 of the Freedom of
information Act 2000.

By way of assistance, the following describes how to access the
information requested and published.

You have specifically referred to “registered Training providers”.  The
ESFA maintains two separate registers for training organisations
potentially funded by the ESFA:

a. [1]Register of training organisations ^1, which lists those
organisations currently eligible to compete for (non apprenticeship) adult
training and further education funding in England. Entry on the register
does not automatically entitle an organisation to funding, but it means
that they will be eligible to be invited to compete for future funding
opportunities.

b. [2]Register of apprenticeship training providers ^2, which lists those
organisations currently approved to deliver apprenticeship training to
employers using the apprenticeship service in England.

Both of the above lists record the organisation name and UK Provider
Registration Number (UKPRN) for each entrant.

Further information supplied about each entrant is published on the [3]UK
Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP) ^3.  To access the information held
(names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses) for an
organisation, you should undertake a search using the UKRLP search
facility and entering the UKPRN recorded on either of the above Registers
for an organisation.

Copyright
The information supplied continues to be protected by copyright. You are
free to use it for your own purposes, including for private study and
non-commercial research, and for any other purpose authorised by an
exception in current copyright law. Documents can be also used in the UK
without requiring permission for the purposes of news reporting. Any other
re-use, for example commercial publication, would require the permission
of the copyright holder.

Most documents produced by a government department or agency will be
protected by Crown Copyright. Most Crown Copyright information can be
re-used under the [4]Open Government Licence ^4 (OGL). For further
information about the OGL and about re-using Crown Copyright information,
please see [5]The National Archives website ^5.

Review procedure
Thank you for your interest in the work of the Education and Skills
Funding Agency.  If you have been dissatisfied with this response and wish
to request a review of our decision or make a complaint about how your
request has been handled you should write to me within 3 months of the
date of this decision.

If, having exhausted the review process, you are not content that your
request or review has been dealt with correctly, you have a further right
of appeal to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in its capacity
as the statutory complaint handler under the legislation.

Details for making an application under the ICO complaint procedure,
including the postal and email addresses for correspondence are provided
on [6]the ICO website^6.

Yours sincerely

Russel Bailey
Information Manager
Education and Skills Funding Agency
