Dear Middlesbrough Council,
Under the Freedom of information Act 2000, I would like to request a list of all Abandoned/ Derelict or unoccupied buildings in the Middlesbrough area that you hold.
This includes names, addresses and use type.
This would mean all buildings that are unoccupied, abandoned and/or Derelict, and include Business, buildings owned or held by Middlesbrough Council and health care buildings etc.
I am not however asking for a list of empty residential homes which are available for rent/purchase.
Yours faithfully,

you. All vacant commercial buildings available for sale/to rent can be
found on the following links.

Also, the published Business Rates data “basic list of properties” on the
Council website www.middlesbrough.gov.uk includes details of properties
recorded as unoccupied (for Business Rates purposes) – currently those on
the spreadsheet tabs “relief” and “exemp”. Details for other properties
that might be abandoned/derelict that might not be listed, as not relevant
to Business Rates administration are not held.
