Dear Newcastle upon Tyne City Council,

Under the Freedom of information Act 2000, I would like to request a list of all Abandoned/ Derelict buildings in the Newcastle upon Tyne area that you hold. This includes names, addresses and use type.
This would mean all buildings that are unoccupied, abandoned and/or Derelict, and include Business, buildings owned by Newcastle upon Tyne City Council and health care buildings etc.
This request also includes residential property owned by Newcastle Council that are unoccupied, abandoned and/or Derelict.

Your Request

Under the Freedom of information Act 2000, I would like to request a list
of all Abandoned/ Derelict buildings in the Newcastle upon Tyne area that
you hold. This includes names, addresses and use type.

This would mean all buildings that are unoccupied, abandoned and/or
Derelict, and include Business, buildings owned by Newcastle upon Tyne
City Council and health care buildings etc.

This request also includes residential property owned by Newcastle Council
that are unoccupied, abandoned and/or Derelict.

 

Our Response

Please see the attached spreadsheet detailing all Council owned unoccupied
commercial buildings.

In relation to residential properties, our housing managing partner Your
Homes Newcastle have confirmed as at the 23 June 2020 there were 739 empty
properties.

 

If you are unhappy with our response to your request you can ask for an
internal review of our decision. Please send details of your request for
