Dear Incredible Edible Beeston

Freedom of Information Act 2000

I am writing to ask you to clarify your request.

As your request stands, we estimate that it would exceed the appropriate
limit as defined by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as this
information is not held centrally in a structure which is easy to
retrieve. In addition, some partnerships/projects are bound by
confidentiality so, in all cases, agreements would need to be checked in
advance of sharing with any third parties which would greatly exceed the
appropriate limit.

The Act sets a maximum cost of £450 for public authorities responding to
requests for information. This represents the estimated cost of one person
working for 3.5 days in determining whether the information is held,
locating it, and retrieving it. Under Section 12 of the Act the University
is not obliged to comply with a request that would exceed the appropriate
limit.

If you would like us to proceed with your request, we will need you to
reduce the number of companies you are asking us to search and confirm the
order of importance so that we can work up to the 18 hour limit. In
addition, we would not be able to search by department but only by
financial year.

I will not be able to take this matter further without this extra
information from you. Please let me know by 21 April 2022.

If I do not hear from you within the timeframe provided, I shall take it
that you do not wish to pursue this request and will consider the request
closed.

Yours faithfully
